Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition excellent in UV light curability and giving cured coating films having excellent peeling characteristics by including an alkenyl group-containing organopolysiloxane, a mercaptoalkyl group- containing organopolysiloxane, and a photopolymerization initiator.
SOLUTION: This silicone composition comprises as main components (A) 100 pts.wt. of an alkenyl group-containing organopolysiloxane containing on the average one to three units selected from siloxane units of formulas I-III {R1 is H, a 1-4C alkyl or phenyl wherein 1-10 mol.% of R1 is phenyl; R2 is an alkenyl of the formula: CnH2n-CH=CH2 [(n) is an integer of 0-8]; R3 is R1 or R2} in one molecule, and having a viscosity of 100-100,000 cP at 25°C, (B) 1-30 pts.wt. of an organopolysiloxane having at least two mercaptoalkyl groups bound to one or more Si atoms in one molecule, and (C) a photopolymerization initiator (e.g. acetophenone) compatible with the components A and B.
