Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a pellet capable of suppressing generation of reduction of reaction efficiency and composition variation by generating a metal shell uniformly on a pellet surface in a method for manufacturing ferronickel using the pellet from nickel oxide ore.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of a pellet for manufacturing the pellet from nickel oxide ore by mixing the nickel oxide ore and carbonaceous reductant to make an aggregate and adhering the carbonaceous reductant to a surface of the resulting aggregate. Coating weight of the carbonaceous reductant adhered to the surface of the aggregate is preferably 0.1% to 20.0% where the amount of the carbonaceous reductant needed for appropriately reducing nickel oxide and iron oxide is 100%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
