Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet synchronous machine capable of improving torque and efficiency by increasing main magnetic flux generated by a permanent magnet while reducing leakage magnetic flux to a rib.SOLUTION: In a permanent magnet synchronous machine including a rotor 1 having a rib 6 for holding permanent magnets arranged so as to constitute a plurality of poles formed thereon, a permanent magnet constituting one pole comprises a first permanent magnet 3 and a second permanent magnet 7 having higher holding force than that of the first permanent magnet 3, and the second permanent magnet 7 is arranged between the rib 6 and at least one of both peripheral ends of the first permanent magnet 3 with no magnetic body interposed therebetween, so that the second permanent magnet 7 is arranged between the front end of the first permanent magnet 3 and the rib 6.
