Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a pharmaceutical preparation consisting of micelle dispersed with a cationic surfactant bearing a univalent anion and a hydrophobic, pharmaceutically active material in a solvent, contg. the active material in stable form, and capable of being rapidly ad perfectly released in the treating region.

CONSTITUTION: The pharmaceutical preparation consists of micelle in which (A) a cationic surfactant bearing a univalent anion, preferably the compd. represented by the formula a (where R1 and R2 are each a 1-12C alkyl or aralkyl; Rn and Rm are each a 1-22C alkyl, 8-20C alkenyl, or 5-6 membered aromatic heterocyclic group contg. 1-2 Ns and optionally O or S; y- is a univalent anion) and (B) a hydrophobic pharmaceutical active material, for example anti-microbial active material, anti-productive active material, antibiotic or antineoplastic active material are dispersed in the solvent at pH ≤7, and critical micelle forming concentration of the pharmaceutical preparations is within the range from 1.0×10-7 to 1.5×10-4 mol/liter. It is favourable to disperse A component of 0.01-0.1 wt.% and component B of 0.001-0.5 wt.% in 99.40-99.989% solvent.
