Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively produce a phase adjusting apparatus for performing the phase adjustment between a plurality of rotary bodies so that a rotation transmission error is reduced.
SOLUTION: The speed reducing unit 20 for adjusting the phase of a phase adjusting apparatus has first and second bending mesh type cup-shaped gear devices 30, 40 and the first wave motion generator 33 of the first bending mesh type gear device 30 is connected to a phase adjusting motor. A first flexible outer gear 32 and the second flexible outer gear 42 of the first bending mesh type gear device 40 are fixed by a plurality of clamping bolts 60 so as to be integrally rotated in a back-to-back state. The second wave motion generator 43 of the second bending mesh gear device 40 is made impossible to rotate and, at a time of the usual transmission of power, the phase adjusting motor is not operated and, therefore, if the speed reducing ratio of both gear devices is made same, the input rotation to the first rigid inner gear 31 of the first bending mesh gear device is outputted in the same number of rotations from the second rigid inner gear 41.
