Abstract:
To provide a phenol resin composition which does not require much degassing at molding, does not cause voids or cracks in molded articles, and is excellent in moldability and good in heat resistance; and to provide a production method thereof.
In this phenol resin composition, the part or whole of the novolac type phenol resin and a resol type phenol resin is melt-mixed in advance; and a part or whole of a novolac type phenol resin has a phenol aralkyl skeleton having a phenylene skeleton or naphthalene skeleton.
