To provide a novel glass sealing ring with a complex shape corresponding to a tip shape of a ventilating pipe, excellent in sealability and stability despite reduction of a lead content through use of a phosphoric acid-based glass material.
The phosphoric acid-based glass sealing ring 22, for sealing a ventilating pipe in a panel so that a ventilating hole of the panel and the ventilating pipe are communicated with each other, is provided with a stepped part 21 as a saucer for the ventilating pipe on the surface of an inner periphery wall face, and substantially contains no binders. The phosphoric acid-based glass sealing ring 22 is manufactured through processes including, for instance, that of obtaining a molded ring containing the stepped part by molding a frit binder mixture composed of phosphoric acid-based glass frit and a binder with a boiling point of 400°C or less and solid under an atmosphere of 25°C, and a binder removal process of removing the binder by heating the molded ring.
