To impart a photocatalyst function to a conventional fiber product without largely changing the color, texture and the like of the product.
This photocatalyst fiber 1 comprises an inner core member 2 formed in a flexible fiber-like shape and having a metal material at least on the surface, and a photocatalyst layer 3 having a photocatalyst function and covering at least one portion of the surface of the inner core member 2. Thereby, a part of the fibers or fiber-like members of a product produced from the fibers or fiber-like members, such as one of various woven fabrics, is replaced by the photocatalyst fibers 1. Thereby, the photocatalyst function can be imparted to the conventional product not using the photocatalyst fiber 1 without largely changing the color, texture and the like of the product.
