PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photocurable composite material composition having high curing rare and slight in the difference of cured degree between the surface and a rear face even in a material filled with fibers, etc., and also having about 10mm thickness by incorporating a specific photopolymerization initiator into an unsaturated polyester resin and/or a vinyl ester resin.
SOLUTION: This composition contains (A) an unsaturated polyester resin and/or a vinyl ester resin, (B) a reinforcing fiber material (e.g.; carbon fibers) and/or a filler (e.g.; talc or polystyrene) and (C) a photopolymerization initiator having photosensitivity in near infrared light region. Usually, an unsaturated polyester or a mixture of a vinyl ester with styrene monomer is used as the component A. As the component C, a combination of a cationic dye having an absorption in near infrared rays region expressed by the formula: D+.A- (D+ is a cation of a coloring matter such as methine or cyanine having photosensitivity in near infrared rays region; A- is an anion) and a boron-based compound of the formula (Z+ is a cation not having photosensitivity in near infrared light region; R1-R4 are each an alkyl or an aryl, etc.) is preferable.
