To provide a photographic film cartridge which can be easily recycled.

The photographic film cartridge is constituted of a resin holder unit 16 and a light shielding cover 18 for covering the rear side of the holder unit 16. The holder unit 16 is provided with a cartridge chamber 20 for storing a cartridge, a film roll chamber 22 for storing an unexposed roll film previously pulled out of the cartridge chamber 20, and an exposure aperture 26. Plushes 30 as light shielding members are separately melt-stuck with peelable strength in between the exposure aperture 26 and the film roll chamber 22. The light shielding cover 18 is provided with a groove 18a formed closer to the film roll chamber than to the position where the plush 30 is melt-stuck, and the light shielding cover 18 is opened with the groove 18a as the center of rotation. By opening the light shielding cover 18, the plush 30 can be easily pulled out.
