To provide a photographic film production method whereby a film is locked into a both-side-capped photographic patrone from outside.
The method comprises: the step of straightly inserting the tabular front end guide section 3a of a guide member 3 into the slit a3 of the patrone; the step of directing the tip of the front end guide section 3a at a spool 1B by turning the guide member 3, and then inserting a part of a back end guide section 3b, connected to the front end guide section 3a at a predetermined angle, into the slit a3, thereby bringing the tip of the front end guide section 3a close to the spool 1B; the step of inserting a photographic film F from the slit a3 and locking it in the spool 1B; the step of pulling out the back end guide section 3b outside the slit a3, turning it in an inclined direction, and then taking the guide member 3 out of the photographic patrone 1; and the step of taking up the photographic film F locked in the spool 1B.
