Abstract:
PURPOSE: To lessen the propagation loss of light in a curving part by connecting an aerial waveguide bent perpendicularly to a light radiating end of a light conductor cable, at the time of bending the light propagated in the light conductor cable in a direction perpendicular to the optical axis of the light conductor cable and making irradiation with this light.
CONSTITUTION: A hand piece 1 is a photoirradiating device which contains a light source or is used by being connected to a light transmission hose in which the light is transmitted. This hand piece 1 has the light conductor cable 2 into which the light from the light source or the light from the light transmission hose is introduced and the aerial waveguide 6 which is inserted and connected with the light conductor cable 2. The aerial waveguide 6 is bent in such a manner that the progressing direction of the light is in the approximately perpendicular direction near the light radiating end 6a.
