Title:
PHOTOSENSITIVE BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS63223660
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a photosensitive body having high charge transfer characteristic, electrifiability, and sufficient surface potential even if a film thickness of carbon film used therein is small, by using carbon film contg. a specified amt. of H and modified with an element of the group IIIA or VA and an element of the group IV, of the periodic table for a charge transfer layer.

CONSTITUTION: In a function separating type photosensitive body constituted of a charge generating layer 3 and a charge transfer layer 2, carbon film contg. 0.1W67atom.% H basing on total atoms and modified with an element of the group IIIA or VA and IV of the periodic table, is used in the charge transfer layer 2. The specific resistance of a hydrocarbon type org. polymer film is reduced when an element of the group IIIA or VA is added appropriately to the film, and preferred charge transfer characteristic of the film begins to be exhibited. P-type charge transfer characteristic is exhibited by the addition of an element of the group IIIA, and N-type charge transfer characteristic is exhibited by the addition of an element of the group VA. Further, the increase of dark attenuation with the lapse of time is prevented by the addition of a trace amt. of an element of the group IV.
