PURPOSE: To confirm as needed whether or not a picture transmitted from a caller is certainly received by a reception side by providing a communication management controlling part which transmits the management information of an indirect communication by a storage exchange processing to the communication terminal of the origin of calling in a nonstandard procedure at a picture storage exchange system.
CONSTITUTION: A picture storage exchange system 3 which stores the picture data, and operates the indirect communication, is equipped with a communication management controlling part 13 which transmits the management information of the indirect communication by the storage exchange processing to a communication terminal 1 of the origin of calling in the nonstandard procedure. Therefore, when the communication terminal 1 of the origin of calling wants to know a communication executing state during the indirect communication by the storage exchange system 3, the necessary information can be quickly recognized by making a request for the management information to the storage exchange system 3. Thus, it is possible to confirm as needed whether or not the transmitted picture is certainly received by the reception side or the like.
