Abstract:
PURPOSE: To shorten the time for piercing.and to improve production efficiency by constituting a deciding section for deciding the point of the time when the input of impulsive signals ends as the point of the time when the piercing ends.
CONSTITUTION: The deciding section 14 decides the completion of the piercing at the point of the time when a laser beam L penetrates a work piece 6 and the impulsive signals disappear. The section resets the gain of a gain adjusting circuit 12 to the original 1. As a result, the lifting control sections of a controller 3 is inputted with the signal of the output difference based on the signal from an electrostatic capacitor sensor 7 from an arithmetic section 9 and controls a focusing head 2 to a position adequate for cutting in accordance with this signal. The output control section 4 of this controller 3 starts cutting by changing over the laser oscillator 1 to continuous oscillation and continuously irradiating the work piece 6 with the laser beam L.
