Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a piezoelectric resonator of an energy confinement type incorporating a capacitor where dispersion in the capacitance of the capacitor is small.
SOLUTION: First resonance electrodes 3a, 3b are formed on one principal face of a piezoelectric substrate 2 of the piezoelectric resonator 1 and 2nd resonance electrodes are formed on the other principal face in a way of opposing the counter parts 3a and 3b on the front face. A capacitor section is configured at a position apart from an energy confinement type piezoelectric vibrator section consisting of the 1st and 2nd resonance electrodes 3a, 3b. The capacitor section consists of a 1st capacitive electrode 5b formed on an upper face of the piezoelectric substrate 2 and a 2nd capacitive electrode 5f formed on a lower face of the piezoelectric substrate 2, and an outer edge being a remaining part except lead-out sections 5b1, 5b2 led to an edge 2b of the piezoelectric substrate 2 of the 1st capacitive electrode 5b is moved backward from the edge 2b apart by a margin region 2c.
