Abstract:

PURPOSE: A pigment ink, having improved dispersion stability of a pigment, fixing of a script and superimposing property, and comprising a specific amount of a water-insoluble synthetic resin emulsion and an organic pigment suitable for writing utensils and printing dispersed in an ink composition.

CONSTITUTION: A pigment ink prepared by incorporating (A) 2W18wt%, preferably 4W9wt%, (solid content) a water-insoluble synthetic resin emulsion, e.g. a polyacrylic ester emulsion or acrylic copolymer emulsion, with (B) preferably 2W25wt% (pure component) an organic pigment, e.g. C.I. Pigment yellow I or Coranil Red FGR, alone or a mixture thereof, (C) preferably 2W20wt% a solvent for an ink (mainly water and in combination with ethylene glycol), and if necessary (D) 0.5W 5wt% a dispersing agent, e.g. styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer.
