Abstract:

PURPOSE: To stabilize underground a pile under civilengineering works and prevent slipping out of the pile by forming it from a joint pile and a leading pile furnished with an opening in the side wall, and fitting a core having a plurality of wedges in each pile.
CONSTITUTION: The head tip of a leading pile 2 is shaped conical, while the tail end is left open, and a connection part is formed into a single piece at the edge of the opening. The inside of each joint pile 2' is made hollow, and the two ends are left open. Further an opening 4 is bored in the side wall of each pile, and each wedge 6 furnished at a core 5 is protruded to outside the pile from the opening 4. At service, the leading pile 2 is previously driven into the earth, and a necessary number of joint piles 2' are put in connections. After completion of driving, the core 5 is pressed. The core 5 moves toward the head tip of the pile, and the wedge 6 of the core 5 protrudes into the earth through the opening 4 or 3' so that the rooted state is established.
