To provide a pillar structure of a vehicle suppressing increase in weight and reducing production cost and the number of components without impairing impact absorbing capacity.
An inner side of a cabin 18 of a front pillar 22 is separated with only a predetermined distance Sa from the front pillar and is covered with an interior member 25, and a fixed pedestal is mounted on one side surface of the interior member formed of light metal toward the pillar in the pillar structure 24 of the vehicle 11. A rear base member 46 is formed along the front pillar and covered with a surface material 47, and edge parts 51, 51 of the surface material are wound around an end of the rear base member 46 so as to form the interior member 25. The interior member formed of the light metal is plastically deformed to absorb impact. The interior member is used as an impact absorbing member. A solid or hollow impact absorbing member is not required to be mounted. Plastic work of the rear base member is easy.
