Title:
PILLOW CORE MATERIAL AND PRODUCTION OF PILLOW
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000333803
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To prolong the life of the aroma of wood by housing a plurality of wooden chips wound with thin wooden pieces of a hollow cylindrical shape into a bag-like material.

When the wooden piece is installed on a table of an electric planer and is moved back and forth on the surface of cutting knife, the wooden piece is thinly scalped from the surface by the cutting knife of the electric planar and the thin wooden chips 31 coiled themselves with offsets to the hollow cylindrical shape of 40 mm in length are obtained. These chips are sieved to get rid of the fine chips. A plurality of the pillow core materials which are the thin wooden chips 31 coiled themselves like the hollow cylinders are housed into the bag-like material which is used as a pillow. At the time of use, a user uses the pillow by wrapping a towel around the outer peripheral of the bag-like material or putting a cover thereon. Since the wooden chips 31 are hollow, the chips have a volume feel as the core material and are light in weight. As the pillow is used, the chips are gradually destroyed by pressing force of the head during the use of the pillow. As the destruction progresses, the fresh cross sections are generated and, therefore, the aroma of the wood is dissipated from the cross sections at all times.
