To provide a pipe fitting capable of preventing claws from being deformed when the claws are bitten in the outer surface of the pipe by increasing the strength of the claws of a lock ring and solving problems in a conventional pipe fitting wherein the claws are excessively bitten in the outer surface of the pipe and the pipe is damaged.
This pipe joint comprises an outer tube part forming a pipe insertion space therein and the lock ring 40 having a plurality of plate-like claws 74 projected aslant radially inward in the pipe insertion direction and locking the pipe in a locked state by biting these claws 74 in the outer surface of the pipe inserted in the insertion space. Projected parts 82 projecting in the plate thickness direction are formed at the portions of these claws 74 apart from the tip to the root sides thereof.
