Abstract:
PURPOSE:To perform effective cooling of a piston crown face part on the intake valve side and maintain favorable lubricating condition on a piston skirt part on the exhaust valve side. CONSTITUTION:A main gallery 18 is formed on the exhaust valve 14 side of the lower part of a cylinder block 17, and an oil jet 19 is arranged on the lower part of the main gallery. The nozzle 19a of the oil jet 19 is inclinedly formed, so as to jet oil toward the back of a piston crown face part on the intake valve 13 side at the top dead center of the piston, and jet oil toward a piston skirt part 21a on the exhaust valve 14 side at the bottom dead center of the piston. Further, a cutout part 17a is formed on the lower part of the cylinder block 17 in the vicinity of the nozzle 19a of the oil jet 19.
