Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue a search even if the non-linearity of a model for use in the prediction of future values is high, in a reference governor for searching a correction target value candidate which minimizes an objective function including items related to the future values of an EGR rate of a diesel engine (or EGR amount) and boost pressure by a gradient method.SOLUTION: It is assumed that a correction target value candidate warrives at a retention point located in a center part of Fig. 7 during a search of the correction target value candidate w. In a saddle point determination step, three points of the vicinity of the retention point are set as succeeding correction target value candidates w. Then, gradients Δ(w) are calculated with respect to the correction target value candidates w, and further succeeding correction target value candidates ware set in directions of synthetic vectors indicating the gradients Δ(w). In the Fig. 7, since the correction target value candidate wseparates from an original retention point, it is determined that the retention point is a saddle point.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
