Title:
PLASMODIUM FALCIPARUM SPOROZOITE AND LIVER STAGE ANTIGENS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2014169291
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immunogenic protein for use as an anti-malaria vaccine component, and a peptide with a DNA sequence, and to provide a method for inducing an immune response to these antigens.SOLUTION: The invention relates to an immunogenic composition characterized by having a specific amino acid sequence having a DNA sequence which is derived from Plasmodium falciparum, and to an immunogenic composition encoded by a specific nucleic acid sequence. Furthermore, a polypeptide with a specific amino acid sequence encoded by a specific nucleic acid sequence is preferred to be contained. It can be used to induce an immune response to malaria in mammals by administering a vaccine formulation containing the antigen, or expressing the antigen so as to be carried by DNA or other nucleic acid expression systems as a vaccine formulation.
