Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve lateral compressive strength of a shoulder of a container to prevent troubles such as the shoulder being recessed under a reduced pressure by peripherally providing a groove rib between a ridge of the shoulder and a plurality of elongated protruding panels formed on a body below the ridge.
SOLUTION: A cylindrical container 1 comprising a mouth 1-1, a shoulder 1-2 and a body 1-3 is formed with a neck-like groove rib 12 which is recessed inward immediately below a ridge 11 occurring in a peripheral direction by folding a peripheral wall of the shoulder 1-2. The body 1-3 comprising an upper half body 1-31 and a lower half body 1-32 is connected below the groove rib 12, while six protruding panels 13 having an elongated protruding face 131 are formed on the upper half body 1-31 and a longitudinal protruding line 132 is formed between the adjacent protruding panels 13, 13. Thus lateral compressive strength, that is, resistance against centripetal force functioning toward the center of the container is increased to prevent a shoulder 11 from deforming due to reduced pressure force at the time of filling contents.
