To provide a plastic cap having a liner, which effectively prevents the problem of a sealability degradation resulting from an inward inclination of the wall of a container mouth, which also effectively prevents the problem of failure in molding a liner material in the process of in-shell molding, and which can be satisfactorily uncapped.
The plastic cap includes a top plate 1 and a skirt-like side wall 2. On the internal face of the skirt-like side wall 2 is a screw that engages with the container mouth, and on the internal face of the top plate 1 is a sealing liner 13 formed by in-shell molding. In such a plastic cap, an annular projection 21 is formed on the internal face of the top plate 1 and close to the internal face of the wall of the container mouth. The sealing liner 13 is disposed so as to completely cover the projection 21. The projection 21 has a cross-sectional shape that includes a face 21b extending from its vertex 21a in an upward and radially inward direction. A number of notches 23 are formed in the projection 21.
