Abstract:

To provide a technique for a plastic molding die which has good operability because of its lightness, has no bending because of its high rigidity, can be used for a high precision molding because its thermal expansion coefficient is smaller than that of metal, and has excellent heat resistance.

A male-mold and a female-mold are formed of a metal-ceramics composite material using SiC powder of 20 to 80 vol.% as a reinforcing material and using an Al-Si-Mg based aluminum alloy as a matrix. Thermoplastic plastics are molded by using this molding die.
