Abstract:

To provide a low-birefringence plastic optical element which is excellent in shape precision of an optical effective region of an optical face by inducing the sinks on at least one part of non-optical effective region when defining a face including the region through which light flux passes as the optical face, with respect to the plastic optical element for a laser scanning optical system or the like, and to provide a laser scanning optical device which hardly causes focal position deviation, is excellent in optical characteristics and can attain higher quality than heretofore.

In the plastic optical element having at least one optical face including the region through which light flux passes, the sinks are formed on at least one part of the non-optical effective region outside the optical effective region among the optical faces.
