To use a plate material, where the photocatalyst capability is utilized, without any problems in the actual printing process, and to rework it satisfactorily in easy manner by markedly raising the durability of the plate material, especially the adhesion quality against the layer of the base material itself within the layers containing the photocatalyst capability and thereby raising sharply the durability of the whole plate material.
The plate material for printing (1) is characterized by having the surface layer (3) of the base material (2) itself is modified into the layer containing the photocatalyst capability, and by keeping the top of this surface layer (3) with coated the layer (4) which contains hydrophobic compound and can be decomposed by the photocatalyst function.
