PURPOSE: To prevent a column from settling by providing a wooden pedestal to mount thereon a plate for preventing settlement of column and providing an opening and a nail hole corresponding to a tenon of a column in a plate body.

CONSTITUTION: A wooden pedestal 51 is mounted on a foundation concrete 50 by passing a bolt 52 through the pedestal 51 so as to be fixed by means of a nut 52a so that a mortice 51a of the pedestal 51 is aligned with an opening 2 of a plate 10 for preventing settlement of column. And a tenon 53a of a column 53 is inserted into the opening 2 of the plate 10 and the mortice 51a of the pedestal 51. Further, after the tenon 53a is inserted, a nail is driven to fix the plate 10 and after a needle material 54 is mounted, a reinforcing material 20 and a bracing plate 21 are fixed by means of a nail. Thus the column is prevented from settling so that a wooden house is prevented from being deformed or broken.
