Abstract:

To provide a plate for a slide gate excellent in the durability and suitable for producing a stable cast product, etc.

This plate for the slide gate is a plate-like burnt body, in which 60-85 vol.% alumina, 5-15 vol.% zirconia and 3-10 vol.% carbon are contained and an acoustic propagated speed in the thickness direction is 3-4.5 km/sec.
