To solve the problems that, in the conventional plating, color tones are limited, and metallic appearance can not be appeared by coating, and further, its wear resistance is low in coating, thus a coating film is frequently worn by use over a long period in a severe environment, and it is not suited to use, and further, in vacuum film deposition working, color tones similar to those in plating can be appeared since a metal film is fitted, but its wear resistance is low and can not be used, and further, large products and the ones with complicated shape can not be formed.

In the case a plating film of a plurality of layers is formed, fine ruggedness is provided from the uppermost layer to the third layer, and in the case of a single layer, the plating film is provided with fine ruggedness. By regulating the area and depth of the ruggedness, a plated article with an interference color can be produced.
