Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a PLL circuit device which has a VCO circuit reducing the number of parts by omitting a capacitor.
SOLUTION: A VCO circuit, which connects a charge pump output 3 of a PLL to the base terminal of a transistor 6 for oscillation through an LC resonance circuit 5 and outputs it from the emitter or collector of the transistor 6, does not connect a capacitor between the collector and the emitter of the transistor 6 and/or between the base and the emitter of the transistor 6, making stray capacitance held in the transistor 6 substitute for the capacitors. Thus, the VCO circuit reduces the number of parts and a mounting area can be reduced. Then the VCO circuit can be made small, e.g. when it is applied to a high frequency RF unit, even the high frequency RF unit itself can be made small.
