PURPOSE: To provide a plotter receiving no restriction of the length, width and thickness of a sheet or paper, by directly placing a plotter main body on a material to be processed such as a sheet or paper to fix the same and performing the cutting of the sheet or the drawing on the paper.

CONSTITUTION: When a pen is mounted on a head 16 in place of a cutter 18, the drawing on paper can be performed. When the length and width of a sheet 24 are too small to fix the sheet 24 to the bottom surface of the frame of a plotter main body 14, a magnet sheet 22 is used. The magnet sheet 22 has an adhesive part 22A having a double-sided adhesive tape bonded to the center thereof and the sheet 24 is bonded and fixed to said adhesive part 22. The first and second scales 22B, 22C for accurately knowing the mounted position of a plotter 10 are printed on the magnet sheet 22 and the plotter 10 is placed on the magnet sheet 22. Since a flat metal is mounted to the bottom surface of the plotter 10, said plotter 10 is fixed so as to hold flatness with respect to the magnet sheet 22. Subsequently, the X-Y direction and blade tip direction of the cutter 18 are controlled by an operation panel 20 to cut the sheet 24.
