Abstract:

To provide a PM synchronous motor that has achieved a torque increase.

This PM synchronous motor includes magnet magnetic portions 30, 40 that are formed from a permanent magnet of a rotor and generate magnet torque and a magnetic salient pole portion having low magnetic resistance, and shifts an angle between low magnetic resistance portions 51, 52 more than in the conventional case. Thus, a torque peak of magnet torque is brought into proximity to a torque peak of reluctance torque and therefore a peak of resultant torque can be increased more than in the conventional PM synchronous motor.
