A carcass 2 toroidally spreading between a pair of bead cores 1 is used as a skeleton frame, and a plurality of belt layers and tread are arranged on the radial outside of a crown part. The carcass 2 is constructed of a single sheet of carcass ply formed by covering multiple aromatic polyamide fiber cords with rubber and provided with a folded part 20 in which the carcass ply is wounded back from the inside to the outside of a tire around the bead core 1. The folded part 20 is folded back further along the radial outside face of the bead core 1, so that its end 20a is arranged between a carcass main body 21 extending along the tire inside face and the bead core 1. In this way, separation can be prevented.
