Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the durability, by arranging wrapping wires to be wound over reinforcing cords onto a polygonal envelope of steel cord. CONSTITUTION:Three strands 11a are stranded to form a core then eight strands 11b for sheathing are wound over said core in same direction as the core with a different pitch so as to form a body steel cord 11 of layer strand structure. Furthermore, single wrapping wire 12 is wound in the opposite direction from the strand 11b of seethe. Here, the wrapping wire 12 is arranged on an octagonal envelope 12a of the body steel cord 11. With such arrangement, the wrapping effect is improved resulting in the improvement of durability.
