Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce noise due to vibration and resonance by forming notches extending in the axial direction of a tire, at least over tread elements with longer pitches, and having the circumferential rigidity of a plural number of tread element mutually get closer. CONSTITUTION:Numerous tread elements A-C arranged in turn in the circumferential direction Y of a tire have may circumferential grooves 1a-1c continuous in the circumferential direction, many axial direction grooves 2a-2c discontinuous in the axial direction and land sections 3a-3c divided by them. In this case, respective notches 4a-4c are formed in respective land sections 3a-3c, with at least one notch inclined in the axial direction. And as for the length of respective notches 4a-4c, the notch 4a in the tread element A with the shortest pitch length l is made the shortest and respective notches 4b and 4c in respective tread elements B and C are made longer in that order.
