To provide a pneumatic tire capable of reducing rolling resistance while suppressing the deterioration of hydroplaning-resistant performance.
The pneumatic tire has a plurality of circumferential grooves in the circumferential direction of the tire, and a belt between a tread surface and a carcass. The tire profile is ≥55%, and a groove area ratio in a shoulder area outside the tire width direction from the circumferential groove formed at the outermost side in the tire width direction is ≤9%. A sectional shape in the shoulder area along the tire width direction of the belt is parallel to the axis of the rotation of the tire, or a projecting shape having the center of a curvature on the outer side in the tire radial direction with respect to the belt.
