Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire that comprises a buffer layer in an inner surface of the tire and can prevent a side part from being damaged without deteriorating mass of the tire and rolling resistance.SOLUTION: A buffer layer 10 existing over the whole circumference of a tire inside a carcass layer 4 is locally formed in a tire side region S of at least one side wall part 2, where at least part of the buffer layer 10 is constituted of foam rubber and hardness of the layer is set to 15 or more and less than 80. A thickness G1 from an innermost surface of the carcass layer 4 to an innermost surface of the buffer layer 10 in an area in which the buffer layer 10 is formed is set larger than a thickness G2 from the innermost surface of the carcass layer 4 to an innermost surface of the tire in an area other than the area in which the buffer layer 10 is formed, and the thickness G1 is set to 1.0 mm-8.0 mm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
