Abstract:
To provide a polarizing film which has a high single transmittance and offers superior durability in high-temperature high-humidity environments.SOLUTION: A polarizing plate of the present invention comprises a polarizing film composed of a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin film containing iodine, a titanium compound-containing coating layer formed on one surface of the polarizing film, and a protective layer provided on a surface of the polarizing film with no coating layer. The polarizing film has a thickness of 8 μm or less and an iodine content of 3 wt.% or greater, and the coating layer has a thickness in a range of 10-800 nm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
