To provide a polarizing plate release film with less birefringence, excellent in transparency and in solvent resistance.

The polarizing plate release film is made of a resin composition comprising at least two components of resins of which at least two components of resins form a bicontinuous phase structure having a structural period of 0.001 to 0.01 μm or a dispersion structure having an interparticle spacing of 0.001 to 0.01 μm. A manufacturing method of the polarizing plate release film is provided. The manufacturing method of a stretched polarizing plate release film is characterized in that the polarizing plate release film is stretched while being thermally treated and further is thermally treated.
