Abstract:
To provide a polishing member and a polishing method that improve inaccuracy of polishing due to low followability of a cushion body of a polishing pad to deformation in a polishing method in which the entire reverse surface of a polishing pad is fixed to a cushion body surface.SOLUTION: A polishing member used to polish a polished surface of a mold surface of a glass mold for lens comprises a plate cushion 3 having a polishing surface curved in conformity with a curve of the polished surface. A flexible polishing pad 4 is stuck on a polishing surface, and composed of a plurality of division pieces 7, which are so arranged that adjacent ones are in contact or close to each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
