Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyarylene sulfide-based composition which is useful for automobile component applications related to a water pump, water heater applications, various electric and electronic components, and the like, because of having particularly excellent mechanical strength and high toughness, having excellent long-life coolant resistance and hot water resistance, excellent in melt flowability, and having a small amount of generated gas and gum.SOLUTION: A polyarylene sulfide-based composition contains at least 30-100 pts.wt. of a glass fiber (B) which has been surface-treated by a sizing agent containing an epoxy resin, an urethane resin and a silane coupling agent, 0.5-3 pts.wt. of a silane coupling agent (C) having at least one or more functional groups selected from the group consisting of an amino group and an epoxy group, and 0.1-2 pts.wt of synthetic zeolite (D) having a pore size of 4-10 Å and a specific surface area of 200 m/g or more, based on 100 pts.wt. of polyarylene sulfide (A).SELECTED DRAWING: None
