Abstract:
To provide a water-absorbing resin excellent in absorption performance; and to provide a method for manufacturing the same.
The manufacturing method of a polyacrylic acid ammonium salt-based water-absorbing resin comprises a polymerization step of a monomer aqueous solution having ammonium acrylate as a main component, and a drying step of a hydrous gelatinous polymer obtained, wherein the monomer concentration of the monomer aqueous solution is controlled to be 50 to 80 wt.%, and the moisture content of the water-absorbing resin is controlled to be 4 to 25 wt.%.
