PURPOSE: To obtain a polycarbonate compsn. which dispenses with predrying and has improved impact resistance, etc., by compounding an arom. polycarbonate, an arom. polyester, a specific polyalkylene oxide rubber, and if necessary a graft copolymer.
CONSTITUTION: An alkylene oxide represented by formula I (wherein R1 is H, 1-10C alkyl or alkylene, or halogenated alkyl or alkylene) is polymerized or, if necessary, copolymerized with an epoxidized monomer represented by formula II (wherein R2 is H, 1-10C alkyl, alkenyl, alkoxyalkyl, alkoxycarbonyl, etc.), giving a polyalkylene oxide rubber having a glass transition point of 0°C or lower. The objective compsn. is prepd. by compounding an arom. polycarbonate pref. obtd. from bisphenol A and having units represented by formula III (wherein X is a divalent 1-15C hydrocarbon group, a single bond, -O-, -S-, -S2-, -SO-, -SO2 or -CO-; and each arom. ring may be substd. by one or more hydrocarbon groups), an arom. polyester pref. having units represented by formula IV (wherein n is 2-6), the above-obtd. polyalkylene oxide rubber, and if necessary a graft copolymer (mixture).
