Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polycarbonate diol excellent in handleability and exhibiting good compatibility with a hardening agent, capable of providing a thermoplastic polyurethane having toughness and excellent in chemical resistance, or capable of providing a coated film excellent in abrasion resistance, chemical resistance and transparency as a coating composition providing the thermoplastic polyurethane.SOLUTION: There is provided the polycarbonate diol in which R in a repeating unit represented by the formula (A) is a repeating unit represented by (CH), (CH)and (CH), the total of the repeating unit represented by (CH), (CH)and (CH)is 80 to 100 mol% of the repeating unit represented by the formula (A), a repeating unit represented by (CH)) is 18 to 40 mol% based on the repeating unit represented by (CH), (CH)and (CH)and a ratio of the repeating unit represented by (CH), (CH)and (CH)is 40:60 to 85:15.
