To provide a polycarbonate resin composition having a low sunlight transmittance and a sufficient heat ray-shielding function, also especially excellent in thermal stability, showing a small change of degree of yellow color after staying in a molding machine, further excellent in hydrolysis resistance under a moist heat environment and suitable as a window glass of a general construction, the window glass of an automobile, etc., and a molded article equipped with the heat ray-shielding function by using the same.

This polycarbonate resin composition contains (a) 0.0001 to 0.5 pt.wt. at least 1 kind of metal borate fine particles, in which the metal is selected from the group consisting of La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Y, Sm, Eu, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, Sr and Ca, and (b) 0.01 to 10 pts.wt. specific aromatic diphosphate compound based on 100 pts.wt. aromatic polycarbonate, and the molded article equipped with the heat ray-shielding function, obtained by molding the composition is also provided.
