To provide a novel compound useful as a material for an organic device such as an organic EL element.SOLUTION: There is provided a polycyclic aromatic compound having a structure composed of one or two or more structural units represented by the following formula (1): wherein, A, B and C rings are a substituted/unsubstituted aryl ring or a substituted/unsubstituted heteroaryl ring; Y1 is B, P, P=O, P=S, Al, Ga. As, Si-R or Ge-R; X1 and X2 are >O, >N-R, >C(-R)2, >Si(-R)2, >S or >Se; at least one H in the structure may be substituted with cyano, halogen or deuterium; at least one H in the structure is substituted with cycloalkyl and at least one of the aryl ring or heteroaryl ring is condensed with cycloalkane.SELECTED DRAWING: None
