Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a composition suitable for preparing an O/W emulsion by phase inversion emulsification, and to provide a method for phase inversion emulsification using this composition.
CONSTITUTION: This composition comprises a polyglycerin ≥4 in average polymerization degree and its ester with a 8-24C fatty acid. The esterification rate of the hydroxyl groups in the polyglycerin as a constituent of the ester is 15-50% and the content of the free polyglycerin in the composition is ≤20wt.%.
